Podcast Assignment 2/4/15
Reflection
When I was introduced to this assignment I was terrified, because I had no idea what a podcast was. But when Laurie explained what we had to do I was up for the challenge. The hardest part of making this podcast was making sure that I would reach the time limit of 1 or 2 min, that’s because I would find myself talk really fast. So I recorded myself several times until I got it the way I wanted. The rest of the process was tones of fun, I got to combine my audio with the pictures I took and I couldn’t ask for a better result. Until I ran into problems when it came to uploading it to my blog but my professor was there to help. When I was done with the podcast I understood how most videos are done but was clueless before this assignment. This assignment was fun I learn how to work programs that I never knew about, but I would definitely see myself using this program in the future. |

Prezi Presentation Assignment

REFLECTION
I decided to do my presentation on prezi. I felt that I needed to challenge myself in learning something new and become familiar with it. At the beginning I was clueless on how to work prezi but found a learn and support link that had many videos that helped me. I found myself having lots of fun using Prezi opposed to the presentations I used back in high school that I loathe doing. I also had fun making my brochure, I thought the brochure was going to be the hardest part of the assignment but surprisingly it wasn’t. It was fun explain every step of the way to creating there very own stencil. The challenging part of this assignment was making activities and exercise that are fun and engaging to the students but also pertained to the presentation and artist El Mac. I liked this project a lot because I learned to rotoscope. Using Photoshop I was able to trace over a film and get a little creative. The rotoscope seemed hard at first but surprisingly it wasn’t. But I did feel that in the beginning I started off really well because I was really excited to try rotoscoping but on the 10th frame I began to get frustrated because its hard to draw only using the mouse. So I found myself taking break every 5 or 10 frames. The second part of the project was fun because I was able to make an animated story using construction paper and using imovie to make my character move. My Movie 2 from Ivan on Vimeo. Reflection
I really liked doing this project a lot. I watched many video tutorials and now I can say that I have done one. I will continue to do video tutorials independently, because I really believe that it’s a necessity in a art class. I can explain and demonstrate so that every student gets the same information and no one is left behind. But before I can do that I must become very familiar with recording my lectures. That means I must learn to set up my recording space, how to make the video present the material in a very organize way that all student will learn and understand. Thanks Laurie for teaching me how to work Imovie. |
